[Xavier] Sorry for the late update! Needless to say, I’ve been enjoying Katie’s company. As soon as the novelty has worn off a bit and we can leave each other alone for about 5 minutes we’ll post some stuff (pictures!).

[Xavier] Katie is landing in about two and a half hours from now and I’m just having some breakfast to kill the nerves. I got a text that she safely arrived in Dubai last night, so I lost some of the worry I had before that. I really hope she’ll like me as much in person as she likes me over Skype (which is a fair bit, mind you). I’m taking my camera with me to try and get some pictures, but I can’t promise any good ones since I suck at multi-tasking (hugging and taking pictures at the same time is a skill I haven’t really developed). I’m typing absolute shit so I’ll leave it at this. 

Expect an update when Katie has arrived!

[Xavier] Katie is currently about 11 hours in her flight and will be landing for a stop-over in Dubai at 4am tonight. She hasn’t texted me to confirm she safely got on her seat, but knowing how closely she tends to follow rules sometimes (silly), she was probably deterred because of the announcements against the use of mobile phones on a plane… so I’m not -too- worried.

Anyways, I was fine nervous-wise yesterday… but I must admit that I’m pretty fucking nervous today. I’m going to finish up preparing the house/room for her arrival now so I’ve got something to put my mind off things.

[Xavier] Today, my roommate and I spend 7 hours cleaning the entire apartment for Katie’s arrival. Katie also just finished packing her bags and all her other pre-flight preparations. She’s pretty nervous since it’s her first time flying on her own, not to mention being away from home so far. Tomorrow I’ll be doing the final preparations for her arrival, at least I’ll try to do that if I can find a moment of productiveness within my tight schedule of excitement and being nervous.

I’ll keep you guys posted as her flight progresses.

[Xavier] Right, we’ve finished the 30 day LDR challenge as of yesterday so I’d just like to thank all the followers we’ve ‘gathered’ over the past few weeks for showing an interest in our blog… thanks guys! You know who you are. ;)

Tomorrow my roomies and I have decided to clean the apartment for Katie’s arrival in three days (she’s having a nap on Skype as I write this). Starting from when she’s here, we’ll probably post a bunch of pictures, start following you guys (and reblog your cute LDR stuff) and just write random tidbits of thoughts or happenings of two people from the other side of the world in a LDR. So yeah, if that’s what you like… stay tuned!

Where do you see your future going with him/her?

[Xavier] Ah, the final question… and what a question it is. I’m always a bit weird with future prospects; I used to be keen at predicting my future, making out things I wanted to do and where I wanted to be in X amount of years. However, the years have had their toll on me and I’m now considerably less accommodating to future plans and prospects. As cliché as it sounds, I’ve kind of started taking things day by day, carpe diem as they say, so I don’t really think about the future much. Part of the reason for this is that, currently, I find my future to be really insecure. If you ask me what or where I want to be in a few years now I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell you. I find that I’m currently on a crossroad in my life, with decisions I take now directly impacting the rest of my life quite significantly, and truth be told… I find it fairly unsettling. In the face of all this “insecurity” though, I know one thing for sure and that’s that whatever decisions I might make, or wherever I may find myself, I won’t be alone because I’ll have Katie to stand by me. 

On a slightly less cheesy note, we’re hoping to move in together before the end of this year. ;)

[Katie] I’m going to keep my answer short and sweet. Because, like Xavier, I’m not very much into predicting my future. But, as Xavier mentioned, we’re hoping to move in together before the end of the year and I’m willing to do what it takes to ensure that happens. And we’ll see where we go from there :)

When will you see him/her next?

[Katie] Looks like Xavier didn’t answer the question, so I’ll do it instead - apologies for it being late. I will be getting on a plane on the 29th of February (3 short days away!) and flying the 11,319 mile gap between us, so I will be actually seeing him on the 1st of March.

[Xavier] Apologies! It’s been a hectic night, but I second what Katie said. ;)

If you could have him/her with you physically for the next 5 hours, what would you do?

[Katie] Cuddle, kiss, make love. I’d also give him a massage and then let him have a nap because he’s been working really hard this whole week and he’s really tired. And then we’d lie in bed, cuddling, and just talking.

[Xavier] Sorry for my late reply! I’ve officially finished all my coursework for university now so things have finally quiet down. As for the question… I don’t have much to add to what Katie already said. I’m absolutely knackered so I’d love to have a nap with her. I’d return the massage she gives me and make her a cup of my famous tea too.

If you had the money/time/connections/whatever to get him/her any gift in the world, what would it be?

[Katie] I’m going to take the ‘whatever’ and use it as a creative license in order to say that I would get him a teleport machine :p So that he could come and see me whenever he wanted to. OR a jet plane that would travel 11,319 miles per second. But also has an anti-crash device so that he won’t get injured during his travels! :3

[Xavier] I’d like to get her the best doctor(s) in the world to help her and I’d like to get her some sort of therapy so she can erase some of her memories. I know these are some pretty weird things to get her, but I think they’d make her immensely happy.

What’s the sweetest thing he/she has ever done for you?

[Xavier] Well that’s easy… what about travelling 11,319 miles/18,214 kilometres just to see me?

[Katie] I think the sweetest thing Xavier has done for me was buying me flowers and having them delivered to my door. He did it simply to cheer me up because I was having a hard time. AND he had remembered what my favourite flowers are! :3 

One thing that he/she does that pisses you off (Even if it makes you smile).

[Xavier] Fuck fuck fuck! I totally lost track of the time because I’m working on some coursework, so this question is 36 minutes late which means we’ll be answering two questions in one day, sort of. As to the question… it’s kind of pointless anyway since Katie doesn’t do anything that pisses me off. 

Describe him/her physically and emotionally/personality-wise.

[Xavier] This question is a bit silly; no matter how much or what I write as my description of Katie, it will never do her justice. But we’ve been having the habit to answer silly questions for the sake of the challenge, so I’ll play along. Physically, Katie is my dream girl come true: dark hair, skinny but with curves in all the right places, standing just below my own height and a cute face; green eyes, an amazing smile and little puffy cheeks to go with the smile. She’s also got extremely long hair reaching down to her lower back and a very womanly and well-shaped, uhm, behind. She’s of a tender build which only further enflames my desire to look over her and keep her safe. Personality wise she’s the most kind-hearted person I know, always looking out for everyone else aside from herself. She likes silly jokes and being playful, but her playfulness can’t be mistaken with a dim wit because Katie is extremely intelligent, with a particular interest in biology and trivia. She’s unmistakingly womanly, with a love for dresses, shoes and all things cute. However, she’s not a typical girly girl and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty. She’s doesn’t really whine or complain and generally I can speak freely without having to worry for hurting her feelings, a side-effect I tend to have with more fragile personalities. Katie has a dislike for money business, things unknown to her, all things orange and cereal with yoghurt. She loves cute animals, dresses, heavy music, nighties, cracking silly jokes, telling random trivia, series, butter chicken and me, amongst other things.

[Katie] Physically, I find Xavier extremely attractive. He has dark hair, a cheeky smile and eyes that are absolutely to die for. They are the most incredible colour I have ever come across. He has a slim build and his muscles have really nice definition. And he has.. ‘THE V’. Seriously, there isn’t anything more physically attractive in a guy. I’m also a big fan of tattoos and piercings, and I find those extremely attractive on Xavier. 
Personality wise, Xavier is amazing. He is incredibly supportive and I know that I can tell him absolutely anything and he doesn’t judge me for it. He is extremely protective, which is something that means a lot to me, without being overbearing and controlling. He also likes to surprise me and spoil me with things which is absolutely amazing to me because I’m definitely not used to it! I like to be playful with people and I absolutely love that Xavier isn’t afraid to be playful with me right back, even if we both look a bit silly for it! Around his friends, he’s a bit ‘rough’ but when it comes to me he turns into a big softie. Though ‘softie’ isn’t a word you could ever really use to describe Xavier. He’s just extremely caring and always looks out for me, never ever wanting me to be hurt or upset and always doing what he can to make sure that I’m happy. Xavier has a dislike for a fair amount of things (humans, artificial sweeteners etc) and likes few, but I think this balances out with how intensely, and completely, he likes/loves things.
